Job Description
CCS Safety Solutions has a need for a part-time Instructor to teach OSHA and Safety courses for businesses in the following categories:
- Aircraft & Aerospace
- Construction
- Feed & Grain
- Government & Military
- Healthcare & Education
- Industrial Applications
- Oil, Gas, & Chemical
- Retail Fall Protection
- Road & Rail
- Ship & Barge
- Stadiums, Arenas
- Utilities & Energy
This position will be responsible for providing expertise and knowledge that support Business divisions curriculum and programs. The role involves establishing courses, teaching students with various effective methodologies, and providing engagement and support activities that encourage student learning.
The Instructor will prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction, evaluate students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives, and develop the OSHA and Safety curriculum and program syllabi, including appropriate goals, objectives, student learning outcomes, and assessment measures.

Typical Work Activities
- Teach Courses on-site in various locations
- Develop courses for the OSHA and Safety curriculum, including developing student learning outcomes and assessment measures.
- Demonstrate skill and/or knowledge in teaching discipline.
- Continuously improve the quality of instruction through innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods.
- Plan, develop, and use various teaching methods and materials that assist students in meeting course objectives and are appropriate for students with different educational and experiential backgrounds and learning styles.
- Keep accurate student attendance and records and submit related reports and forms within requested timelines.
- Review, evaluate, and recommend student textbooks and learning materials.
- Demonstrate competence and interest in the use of technology in the classroom and willingness to explore new instructional methodologies.
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
- Learn and apply technologies that support student learning.
- Be familiar with and adhere to all policies and procedures of CCS.
- Define how to assess student learning outcomes and report on them, foster effective learning in both classroom and lab settings, and promote good public relations via contacts, and regular communications with business, industry, and the public sector.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Essential Functions
Ability to navigate relationships with diverse populations. Ability to have a flexible schedule. Ability to speak in front of groups of people. Must have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with students, co-workers, supervisors, and the campus community. Ability to inspire and motivate students. Must be able to develop, prepare, and present information.
Must able to operate computers and software programs. Ability to develop instructional materials, evaluating students’ progress in achieving instructional goals and objectives. Ability to handle administrative responsibilities related to the teaching of courses. Must possess good organizational and time management skills. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree;
- 3 years’ experience in providing OSHA training.
